Less than 2 months after this wine was released on the market, it receives 91 points by Wine Spectator - the same Wine Spectator that put the 2010 vintage on the list of its "TOP 100 WINES OF 2013".

We are certainly happy and grateful for the great scores Wine Spectator has reserved for our core wine, but we are especially excited that the reason why our wine has obtained this kind of attention by one of the most influential wine magazines in the world, is that it's chief editor for Italy has taken the time to get to know the new Avignonesi and understand the profound changes the winery has gone through with the conversion to biodynamic viticulture and the focus on expressing the true terroir of Montepulciano through a 100% Sangiovese Vino Nobile.

Our vineyard and winemaking team work hard to produce wines which are genuine and true to their terroir and appellation. Our conversion to biodynamic production methods started in 2010 and we are just starting to see the first results. We are grateful that both the press and our customers perceive them as well in the quality of our wines, and we are confident that the future reserves great things, not just for Avignonesi, but for Vino Nobile in general.
