Two of the Classica Intl producers, La Staffa from Marche and Masseria Setteporte from Sicily, have been awarded the highest rating in the 2014 Slow WIne guide.
What is Slow Wine? Slow Wine is the highest recognition a wine can get in the wine guide published by the SLOW FOOD ORGANIZATION.
A Slow Wine is not only excellent quality, but must also be a flag bearer of the typical characteristics of either a wine region or a variety.

In the 2014 edition of the SLOW WINE GUIDE two of the Classica International wineries have been recognized as SLOW WINES.

First we have RINCROCCA, the single vineyard Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore from the producer LA STAFFA, where owner Riccardo Baldo's efforts to produce as genuine and characteristic a Verdicchio as possible from one of the best locations in the area have been awarded. This small, artisanal winery is in fact biodynamic all the way through, from the vineyard to the cellars.

Second wine is the NERELLO MASCALESE Etna Rosso from producer MASSERIA SETTEPORTE, which displays all the typical mineral qualities of a wine grown from old vines planted at high altitudes in the volcanic soil of Mount Etna.
